Technology should be invisible when it is working. Nobody comes to work to manage their IT systems. They come to do the work the business is built around, and the technology should support that without getting in the way.
I am sceptical of trend-chasing. Not every business needs the newest thing. Many need the reliable thing, properly set up and actually understood. I start with what a business needs to function well, and work outward from there.
Cambridge is home. Building a working life here, focused on businesses in this region, is a deliberate choice. The Waikato is full of good businesses doing real work, and I am invested in being genuinely useful to them.
Waikato businesses have real technology needs. Working specifically in this region, rather than operating as a general nationwide provider, means I know the context. These are the businesses and the people I am here for.
I keep a small number of clients because that's the only way to actually look after them properly.
